What our visitors say

Absolutely fantastic place, lots of information and artefacts to see. Very friendly and welcoming staff (especially Jimmy!); ship is amazing! Great value for money, highly recommended.

Discovery Point – Alison

Absolutely wonderful and enlightening attraction, I learn something new each visit and have been going since the 90s. We stay for hours each time as there is no end in things to see and learn.

Verdant Works Museum – Sarah

Grandson and I went to Discovery Point to do the mast climb. It was a tremendous experience we both enjoyed it very much. Staff were brilliant and couldn’t do any more to put us at ease and encourage us. The views from the top were spectacular. Amazing that you don’t get nervous about the height you just seem to get used to it.

Discovery Mast Climb – Ewan

Discovery Point is a fascinating museum dedicated to preserving the memories and stories about a very specific period in world history – mapping, investigating and exploring the vast Antartic.
The museum highlights the importance of Dundee at the time – famous for its ship building, whaling and the links with polar exploration. The jewel in the crown though is the RRS Discovery; docked and accessible for investigation!

Discovery Point – Eddie
