What our visitors say

Took my 5 year old and he loved it – we all did! The ship and museum were amazing and we learned so much, the gentleman explaining all about the bell was fantastic.

Discovery Point – Carrie D

Really great museum, a lot of history not just about jute, but working life in Dundee. Amazing tour, very well done. Great experience and would highly recommend this to anybody interested in local and Scottish history. I can imagine this would be a great place for School trips too. Plenty of space and activities for children of all ages.

Verdant Works – Michael S

This is an excellent museum all about RRS Discovery – the history and expedition – with plenty of items to look at. And of course, the actual ship to board and explore!

Discovery Point – James K

Simple fantastic, spent several hours here and should be must do for anyone visiting Dundee. Had a lovely soup and scone in the cafe. A very well presented and interactive museum.

Verdant Works Museum – Mike D

An immersive, interactive, inspiring, & visually stunning museum. Visual displays, videos on wall screens, activities for kids, displays indoors, and you can go on to the deck of the ship & below.

Discovery Point – Helen R

I absolutely adore this place. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. There is so much to see! It’s a haven of information on Dundee’s history of the jute mills. It’s fascinating from beginning to end. It’s worth a visit!
