Since Verdant Works Museum opened in 1996, the Machine Hall has roared with the sound of jute production. In our Machine Hall tours, meet local volunteers and see (and hear!) the museum’s jute machinery spring into action, for a truly unforgettable experience.
Learn stories from the city’s millworkers, and put yourselves in the shoes of weavers and spinners in Scotland’s mills in the Victorian era.
