Marvel at the power of steam as this rare engine comes to life! This stunning Boulton & Watt steam engine dates back to 1802, and once powered Dundee’s mills; it is now a reminder of the country’s industrial past, and a real treat for visitors coming to explore behind the Verdant Works mill gates.

Come along to the High Mill at 11am and 2pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 30 June – 20 August 2025 to meet the Verdant Works team and to see this magnificent machine in action!
