Exciting new events at Discovery Point and Verdant Works

What’s On July – December 2018

We’re delighted to launch our public programme which will take us from July to December 2018. We have an exciting range of events and activities for all ages, some highlights include:

• Puffins, Penguins and Polar Bears! where you can take a closer look at animals living in polar environments with crafts, story-telling, and much more!
• Wee Weavers: stories, crafts and messy playing for wee ones age 2-5 which takes inspiration from Dundee Nine Trades or try its counterpart Wee Explorers, inspired by tales of adventure and exploration at Discovery Point!
• Summer at the Ship: Weekly activities to entertain and inspire young people aged 8-14 during the summer holidays
• Saturday Studio: a new monthly workshop for young people aged 14-19 inspired by our collections and led by artists and creatives from a variety of fields.
• Sunday Screening: a monthly family film, inspired by RRS Discovery or Verdant Works
• Memory Exchange: a reminiscence project inspired by Dundee’s waterfront
