Dundee Heritage Trust, the charity that operates Discovery Point and Verdant Works Museum in the city, has announced a change in pricing. New pricing structures effective of 1 st April 2025 offer the opportunity to purchase lower-priced tickets to the charity’s two attractions – rated #1 and #2 on TripAdvisor’s Things To Do in Dundee.

The shift in pricing model from consisting of one annual pass to four different pass options has allowed the charity to lower the cost to visitors whilst maintaining income generation in order that it continue to conserve RRS Discovery and Verdant Works; the historic ship and jute mill that have played integral roles in the city’s heritage since 1901 and 1833 respectively. Making heritage available to everyone is at the heart of Dundee Heritage Trust’s ethos.

Visitors to Discovery Point and Verdant Works Museum will now be able to purchase either an Off-Peak Pass, an Unlimited Pass or an Explore More Pass. A newly introduced Flexible Family Pass helps reduce the cost of visiting for those with children.

• Off-Peak Passes grant entry to either Verdant Works Museum or Discovery Point during off-peak periods for a year from date of purchase.
• Unlimited Passes grant entry to either museum for a whole year from date of purchase, on both off-peak and peak dates.
• The Explore More Pass allows the holder to visit Verdant Works Museum and Discovery Point for a year from date of purchase, during off-peak and peak seasons.

The Trust generates over 98% of its regular income through museum ticket sales, hospitality, retail and fundraising, with operating costs and the cost of caring for its heritage assets such as RRS Discovery, Verdant Works and its two Recognised Collections of National Significance, continually on the rise.
