Our gift shop offers a unique range of products from bespoke Discovery gifts; to fascinating and inspiring Polar exploration books; to handcrafted goods designed right here in Dundee.
We take pride in stocking produce crafted from wood from the Royal Research Ship Discovery, alongside Antarctic souvenirs and more, whilst supporting independent makers, crafters and designers throughout Scotland; making our gift shop the perfect place to find a token from your voyage of Discovery, or as a meaningful gift to others.

Our gift shop proudly champions local suppliers, from Tayside jam; to bespoke Dundee jute bags; to fascinating and inspiring books; to handcrafted goods made by independent designers and makers, whose studios are based only metres from Verdant Works Museum.
The jute products within our shop use jute that originated in Dundee and processed in Angus, resulting in a gift with a story as special as its appearance.

Nestled in the former boiler room of Verdant Works, our cafe menu has something for everyone; whether it’s a delicious homemade lunch with friends; a cup of tea and scone served with Heather Hills jam; or an oozing strawberry sundae in the summer.
We take pride in sourcing our ingredients as locally and as seasonally as possible, adapting our menu to showcase the best fresh produce that Dundee and beyond has to offer seasonally.
On a sunny day, sit out in our peaceful courtyard and take in the beauty of the 19th Century architecture. In winter, come indoors and warm up with hearty soup and a scone.
