Celebrate 30 Years of Verdant Works Museum
It's Verdant Works' Birthday!
On 16 September 1996, Dundee’s newest attraction opened within a Victorian mill that had been transformed from derelict site to a world-class museum tracing Dundee’s industrial past through the lens of its jute trade.
Since, thousands of visitors have woven their way through time in our 1833 mill; whether it be young learners from around the world engaging in our education programme; locals and those with a connection to textile heritage connecting to the lives of their ancestors; or tourists unravelling tales from Scotland’s industrial past.
You’re invited to celebrate with us from September 2026 – September 2027, with a programme filled with wonder for visitors of all ages, and opportunities to explore your connections to Scotland’s textile heritage.
